Elizabeth B. Alexander, DNP, APRN-BC

Dr. Alexander received her Doctorate Degree in nursing from Northeastern University in Boston. In 2009, Elizabeth completed the Adult Nurse Practitioner Program from Northeastern University in Boston. She has been working in primary care since her graduation and in urgent care for the last two years. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed in both South and North Carolina. She has also been specializing in taking care of adults with opioid addiction and completed her thesis in improving the quality care of opioid-dependent patients in primary care. She has worked in adult medicine for the last 23 years as a registered nurse, charge nurse, nursing supervisor, nurse educator, nurse faculty, and a nurse practitioner. 

Elizabeth was born and raised in India, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the SNDT Women's University in Bombay, India in 1992. She received her Master's degree in Women's Health from Trivandrum Medical College in Kerala, India in 1998, then relocated to Boston where she joined her father. Elizabeth, her husband Alex, and their two boys lived in Boston for 18 years before relocating to Fort Mill in 2016. She is an active member of her church and teaches Sunday School. She enjoys gardening, reading, vacationing with her family and friends, and camping in the mountains.

  • Richard L. Bradner, MD

    Dr. Bradner received his Medical Degree from the University of North Carolina and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont. He then completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Charlotte Memorial Hospital. He joined Dr. Lesslie in the Emergency Department at the then York General Hospital in 1982. Dr. Bradner is board-certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation. He served as Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center, Piedmont Hospital and University Medical Center. He has also served as Chief of Staff at Piedmont Medical Center.

    Dr. Bradner co-founded Riverview Medical Center in 1986 and Arrowood Medical Center in 1987. Dr. Bradner is a certified Medical Review Officer for Drug and Alcohol Testing and has practiced Occupational Medicine and General Practice full-time for almost thirty years. For a period of five years he was Chairmen of the Medical Executive Committee of US Healthworks, the second-largest provider of Occupational Medicine in the United States.

    Dr. Bradner lives in Charlotte with his wife, Debbie. He has five children and six grandchildren. He enjoys playing guitar, traveling, golf and writing poetry.

  • Doris Chitwood, APRN-BC

    In 1985, Ms. Chitwood completed her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.  She received additional courses of her postgraduate degree in 1989 to practice as an Advanced Practice RN, (APRN) a nurse practitioner. She was Board Certified in 1990 as a Nurse Practitioner.  Due to her interest in the law and its interaction with medicine, she completed the Paralegal Certificate program August 2000 at Winthrop University. She went on to treat patients in a Family Practice from 1993 to1996 and in an Emergency Medicine setting from 1995 to 2007. She now incorporates both of these modalities in her Urgent Care and Family Medicine practice at Riverview. She has been a member of the Riverview staff since 1995 and is Certified Medical Examiner with the Department of Transportation.

    Additionally, she has served as a preceptor for the education of Nurse Practitioner students at USC-Columbia. To date this total is 14 students…two of which were Terrie Smith and Donna Manuel who are now full-time Nurse Practitioners with us. Doris is a teacher of following disciplines and is certified for each of these: BLS (Since 2000), ACLS (Since 1993), ACLS-EP (Since 2004) and PALS (Since 2004).

    Doris has a daughter Heather and her twin sons, Michael and Justin, and a son Joseph and his son Wesley.  Doris enjoys gospel music and traveling in her motor coach with her family. 

  • Anju Choudhury, MD

    anju-choudhury.jpgDr. Anju Choudhury joined Riverview in fall 2011. She has been practicing internal medicine in Rock Hill since 1995. Dr. Choudhury lives in Rock Hill with her husband and their two children. She enjoys traveling and being with her family.

  • Wesley L. Flinn, PA-C

    Wes received his Bachelors Degree in Natural Science from Erskine College in 1971 and graduated from the Physician Assistant - Medex Program at The Medical University of South Carolina in 1977. He has been board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) since 1977 and is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation.

    Wes has been practicing as a physician assistant in Charlotte, Rock Hill, Monroe, and Lancaster for almost 40 years and rejoined our practice in 2003.  He lives in Catawba with his wife Harriet, a Rock Hill native. They have four wonderful children and four very special grandchildren. Wes enjoys movies, reading and the outdoors and areas of special interest include the sciences, psychology and music.

  • Jason T. Given, MD

    jason-given.jpgDr. Jason Given was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada and graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1999.  He was a professional hockey player for the Columbus Cottonmouths and worked in the mining industry before beginning medical school in 2003 at Saba University in Netherlands-Antilles.  Dr. Given went on to train at the Greenville Hospital System Family Medicine Residency Program in South Carolina, where he was also chief resident.

    Dr. Given joined Riverview Medical Center in 2011.  He is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation.

    He lives in Rock Hill with his wife, Brooke and their Australian Shepherd, Skylar, Jack Russell Terrier, Lil Man and Yorkshire Terrier, Greta.  He enjoys traveling and being with friends as well as playing hockey, scuba diving, skiing and other outdoor activities.

  • Staci Holles-Sobota, DO

    Dr. Staci Holles-Sobota is from Fairfax, VA. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The College of William and Mary and a Master of Science degree in Physiology from the Medical College of Virginia. She went on to earn her medical degree from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She completed her internship and residency in York, Pennsylvania. She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and has practiced in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine since finishing residency in 2007. She is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation and joined Riverview Medical Center in 2015.

  • Robert D. Lesslie, MD, MPH

    Dr. Robert Lesslie co-founded Riverview Medical Center in 1986 and Arrowood Medical Center in 1987.  He has been practicing in Rock Hill since 1981.  He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and continued his training in Greenville, SC and in Charlotte, NC where he was chief resident at Charlotte Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Lesslie is board-certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.  He has also been specializing in Occupational Medicine since opening Riverview and Arrowood and received his Masters in Public Health in 1999 from the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He is a certified Medical Review Officer for Drug and Alcohol Testing and a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation.

    For more than a decade, he has been writing newspaper and magazine columns and human interest stories.  The release of “Angels in the ER” in 2008 marked his first published book and it has sold over 200,000 copies.  Since then, he has written “Angels on Call”,  “Angels and Heroes”, “Angels on the Night Shift”, “Notes from a Doctor’s Pocket”, “Miracles in the ER”, “50 Ways to Lower your Cholesterol” and 50 Ways to Lower your Blood Pressure”.

    Dr. Lesslie lives in Rock Hill with his wife, Barbara and their Golden Retrievers, Dox and Moses, several miniature horses, goats, donkeys, chickens and a lot of bees.  They have four grown children and eight growing grandchildren.  He enjoys golfing, traveling and bagpiping. He is a regular columnist for yc magazine and an active member of his church.

  • Donna Boone Manuel, APRN-BC

    Donna was born and raised in Concord, North Carolina and then relocated to the West coast where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Reno. She subsequently earned her Nurse Practitioner certification from UCLA and then a few years later her Master of Science in Nursing from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

    When the opportunity arose to relocate back to the Carolinas, she could not pass up the opportunity to come home. She continued her educational interests after relocation by obtaining a post-Masters degree with certification as a family nurse practitioner.

    Donna has worked in a variety of settings as a nurse practitioner including private practice, a group clinic, a teaching hospital, and a large indigent clinic. She is board-certified as both a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. She holds licenses in both North and South Carolina and is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation.

    She joined the Riverview medical team in 2012 where she has enjoyed expanding her orthopedic and occupational health knowledge and also is a Primary Care provider for the local community.

    She resides in Charlotte with her husband, Bill. They have three grown children and have been blessed with their first granddaughter. She is an avid reader and enjoys performing arts and travel.

  • Justin D. Mitchell, Physical Therapist

    justin-mitchell.jpgJustin grew up and attended high school in a suburb of Chicago, IL.  He relocated to Raleigh North Carolina in 1991 with his father. Justin attended East Carolina University from 1992 until 1997 during which time he received two degrees.  He obtained a degree in Exercise and Sport Science in May of 1995 and then graduated from the Department of Allied Health Sciences / Physical Therapy with Honors in May of 1997.

    Justin settled in the Charlotte area after college and has been practicing Physical Therapy locally since 1999.  He initially joined the Riverview and Arrowood team of professionals in August of 2004 and has since started his own business, Paramount Physical Therapy Services, LLC.  Justin continues to provide all of the physical therapy services performed at both Riverview and Arrowood Medical Centers.  With over 18 years of clinical experience, Justin prefers to treat his patients one on one. Unlike other Physical Therapy clinics, Justin treats his patients without the use of assistants or other medical staff and knows the benefits of this continuity of care.

    Justin has a love of the outdoors and sports. He enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, and snowboarding with his family in the mountains.  You’ll find him and his two sons wakeboarding on Lake Wylie in the summer.  Justin’s professional focus is on helping people get better from problems that arise from aging, work, and play.  He treats every patient as an individual with compassion and understanding.  Justin lives in Belmont, NC with his wife Jessica, and their sons, Jake and Jaxson.

  • Theresa D. Smith, APRN-BC

    Theresa received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2010. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation.

    Prior to attaining her MSN degree, she worked for four years as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. Theresa completed her final clinical residency with Riverview and joined our practice following her graduation.

    Theresa, her husband Jeff, and their three boys have resided in Tega Cay for almost 20 years. Their grown daughter, her husband and three grandchildren live nearby in Rock Hill. Theresa enjoys gardening, reading and vacationing with her family.

  • Brian A. Walker, DO

    Brian-A-Walker.jpgBrian Walker spent his childhood in Mobile, Alabama, and spent his high school and college years in Chicago, IL. He attended Aurora University for undergraduate studies in Biology. He went on to attend medical school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated in 2003. He completed his internship and residency program in Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2006. He then immediately moved to South Carolina, and worked as an Emergency Medicine physician for seven years. 

    Dr. Walker is Board-Certified in Family Medicine, which eventually led him to Urgent Care Medicine. He has practiced in Lancaster, York, and Mecklenburg counties since 2006 and joined the Riverview staff in 2011. He is also a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation.

    He lives in Indian Land, with his wife and their twins, Winston, and Sophie.

  • Robert Wood, APRN-BC

    Rob joined the Riverview staff in 2002, two years after completing his nurse practitioner training at Clemson University.  Previously he had worked in the emergency department of Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, where he met Drs. Lesslie and Bradner in the mid 1990s.  Rob also received his Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson in 1993 and is, of course, and avid Tigers fan.  He was trained in Family Practice, but has been involved mostly in urgent and occupational care since his graduation.  He is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is licensed in both South and North Carolina and is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation.

    Rob lives in Lancaster with his wife, Angie, and their son, Samuel.  Rob is an active member and Lay-speaker for his church and especially enjoys teaching Sunday school.  He enjoys exercising, sports, reading and traveling with his family.
