There are seven lifestyle choices that promote successful self-management of Diabetes:
- Healthy food choices
- Regular activity
- Monitoring blood sugar daily
- Taking prescribed medication, i.e. insulin or pills
- Managing blood sugar levels
- Avoiding risky behaviors, such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption
- Healthy coping
Based on your age, routine activities, family demands, school or work schedule, eating habits and health complications, Theresa can teach you self-management skills that will help you experience better health for a lifetime.
