Dr. Bradner co-founded Riverview Medical Center in 1986 and Arrowood Medical Center in 1987. He joined Dr. Lesslie in the Emergency Department at the then York General Hospital in 1982. Dr. Bradner received his medical Degree from the University of North Carolina and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont. He then completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Charlotte Memorial Hospital. Dr. Bradner is board-certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He served as Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center, Piedmont Hospital and University Medical Center. He has also served as Chief of Staff at Piedmont Medical Center. Dr. Bradner is a certified Medical Review Officer for Drug and Alcohol Testing and has practiced Occupational Medicine and General Practice full-time for eight years. For a period of five years he was Chairmen of the Medical Executive Committee of US Healthworks, the second-largest provider of Occupational Medicine in the United States.
Dr. Bradner lives in Fort Mill with his family. He has five children with two teenagers still at home. He enjoys horseback riding, golf and writing poetry.
Dr. Robert Lesslie co-founded Riverview Medical Center in 1986 and Arrowood Medical Center in 1987. He has been practicing in Rock Hill since 1981. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and continued his training in Greenville, SC and in Charlotte, NC where he was chief resident at Charlotte Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lesslie is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He has also been specializing in occupational medicine since opening Riverview and Arrowood, and received his master’s in public health in 1999 from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is one of only a few physicians in our area to be board-certified by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
He is a certified Medical Review Officer for Drug and Alcohol Testing, a regular columnist for YC magazine and an active member of his church.
Dr. Lesslie lives in Rock Hill with his wife, Barbara. They have four grown children and four growing grandchildren. He enjoys golfing, traveling and bagpiping.
Dr. Scott McNair was born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey and came to South Carolina in 1984. He attended the University of South Carolina for undergraduate studies in exercise physiology and graduated with honors from South Carolina College, the Honors College. He went on to attend the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia and graduated in 1993. He completed his internship in Greenville, N.C. and then his residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation in Charlotte, N.C.
He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, which led him to pursue industrial rehabilitation and urgent care medicine. He has practiced in the Charlotte and Rock Hill areas since completing his residency in 1997. In addition to his office duties, he is the team physician for Hendrick Motorsports, and provides care to other members of the racing community. This responsibility includes traveling weekly to NASCAR events.
He also enjoys photography, traveling, and spending time with his family. He lives in Charlotte, with his wife, Deena, and two girls, Caroline and Grace.
Dr. Ed Neely has been a family practice physician since 2001. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He did his internship and residency at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC and has been practicing in Rock Hill at Riverview Medical Center since 2004.
Previously, he was a doctor with the United States Air Force stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas from September 2001 through September 2004. He was stationed at Tallil Air Force Base in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom from July through November 2003.
He lives in Rock Hill with his wife, Rebecca, and daughter, Shiloh. He enjoys exercise and sports and taking care of his multiple pets and baby daughter.
Dr. Buchanan was born and raised in Oklahoma, but has been a resident of the Carolinas for 20 years. She received her undergraduate degree in physiology from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and her medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She subsequently moved to Columbia, SC to complete her family medicine residency training at Richland Memorial Hospital and has been in love with the Carolinas ever since. Dr. Buchanan is board-certified in family practice by the American Academy of Family Physicians, and has practiced emergency medicine in the Carolinas for over 17 years. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Pediatric Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support as well.
Dr. Buchanan lives in the Lake Wylie area with her husband, Bill. They have two children who are active in football and cheerleading that keep them very busy. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys golf, traveling, Panther football and Tar Heel basketball.
In 1985, Mrs. Chitwood completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She completed additional courses for her postgraduate degree in 1989 to practice as an Advanced Practice RN, (APRN) a nurse practitioner. She was board certified in 1990, as a nurse practitioner. Due to her interest in the law and its interaction with medicine, she completed the Paralegal Certificate program 8/2000 at Winthrop, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She went on to treat patients in a family practice from 1993 to1996 and in an emergency medicine practice from 1995 to 2007. She now incorporates both of these modalities in her urgent care practice at Riverview. She has been a member of the Riverview staff since 1995.
Additionally, she has served as a preceptor for the education of nurse practitioner students at USC-Columbia. To date this total is 11 students. She also teaches and is certified for each of the following disciplines:
Doris lives in Rock Hill with her husband, Larry of 34 years. They have a daughter Heather whom has twin sons, Michael and Justin, and a son Joseph and his son Wesley. Doris enjoys gospel music and traveling in her motor coach with her family.
In 1998, Theresa completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Program from the University of South Carolina. She received her post master’s certificate and became board certified as a nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. For seven years she worked in a Charlotte endocrine practice where she focused on the management of diabetes, hypertension and other chronic diseases. In 2005, Theresa joined the Riverview staff as a nurse practitioner, certified diabetes educator, and insulin pump trainer. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, a past President of the Metrolina Association of Diabetes Educators and is licensed as a nurse practitioner in South and North Carolina.
Theresa lives in Rock Hill with her husband Keith. They have two grown daughters, a son-in-law, and one gorgeous granddaughter. Theresa is an active member in her church, and enjoys singing in the choir and working in the AWANA youth program. She also enjoys gardening, fishing, traveling, and whitewater rafting.
Wes has been practicing as a physician assistant for the past 30 years. He received his bachelor’s degree in Natural Science from Erskine College in 1971. He graduated from the P.A. - Medex program at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1977. He has been board certified by the NCCPA since 1977.
Since graduation he has worked in Charlotte, Rock Hill, Monroe, and Lancaster. His wife Harriet is a Rock Hill native. They have four wonderful children and two very special grandchildren. Wes enjoys movies, reading and the outdoors. Areas of special interest include the sciences, psychology and music.
Marianne is a certified family nurse practitioner. She relocated to the Carolinas in 1984 after receiving her BS in nursing from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. She later received her Master’s in nursing from the University of South Carolina in 1988 and her post Master’s in pharmacology from the University of South Carolina in 1991. She joined our practice in 1995.
As a family nurse practitioner, Marianne has been able to gain experience in a wide array of fields. She has practiced in the areas of emergency, urgent care, and family practice. Marianne attends continuing education programs in order to maintain her edge of knowledge in the medical field.
Marianne has four children and six wonderful grandchildren. She also loves the theatre and to give back to the community as an active volunteer for the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte.
She is a member of and highly involved in the American Nurses Association and the Emergency Nurses Association.
Rob joined the Riverview staff in 2002, two years after completing his nurse practitioner training at Clemson University. Previously he had worked in the emergency department of Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, where he met Drs. Lesslie and Bradner in the mid 1990’s. Rob also received his Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson in 1993 and is, of course, an avid Tigers fan. He was trained in family practice, but has been involved mostly in urgent and occupational care since his graduation. He is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, and is licensed in both South and North Carolina.
Rob lives in Lancaster with his wife, Angie, his son, Samuel, and numerous spoiled pets, including three dogs and two cats. Rob is an active member and Lay-speaker for his church and especially enjoys teaching Sunday school. He enjoys exercising, sports, reading and traveling with his family…yes, they leave the pets at home!
Justin lives in Belmont, NC with his wife, Jessica and two sons, Jake and Jaxson.
Justin was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, IL and relocated to the state of North Carolina in 1991 at age 19. He attended East Carolina University from 1992 - 1995 and received a BS in exercise sport science. After graduation, he immediately returned to East Carolina where he entered into the Physical Therapy program and graduated with honors in 1997.
Justin has been practicing physical therapy in the Charlotte area since 1999. He joined the Riverview and Arrowood team of professionals in August of 2004. He has since started his own business, Paramount Physical Therapy Services, LLC, and continues to provide all physical therapy for Riverview Medical Center and Arrowood Medical Center.
Justin is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is licensed to practice in both North and South Carolina. He enjoys camping and hiking with his family in the mountains, wakeboarding on Lake Wylie, and coaching his son‘s little league team. Justin is also passionate about preserving nature and sits on the board of Keep Belmont Beautiful.
